PRESENCE:NET is an interactive visual and sound installation which consists on a net made out of thread in tensión by hundreds of pins attached to the wall. The piece appears to be about to be collapsed due to the tension that the thread generates on the pins. The installation is sensitive to the audience’s presence and can transform it into a sound landscape. After the first collaboration Álava-Moreno, entitled “The Oracle: Tell Me a Secret” -premiered at the First Edition of Sound In (2011)- the artists further research in this second collaboration, with the occasion of Sound In’s Second Edition, in the concepts of memory and the traces made by the physical presence of audience.

PRESENCE:NET es una instalación interactiva sonora y visual que consiste en una red hecha a base de hilo sostenido por cientos de alfileres, de apariencia monolítica y a la vez frágil, donde tensiones internas del hilo parecen poder colapsar la obra en cualquier momento. La pieza es sensible a la presencia de los visitantes y puede transformar esta presencia en un entorno sonoro. Tras la primera colaboración Álava-Moreno titulada “The Oracle: Tell Me a Secret”, presentada en la primera edición de Sound In (2011), los artistas ahondan en esta segunda colaboración —con la ocasión de la segunda edición de Sound In— en el concepto de memoria y en la huella presencial del público.
