Gema Álava viajo’ a Ciudad de México del 15 al 17 de junio para el lanzamiento de su nuevo libro de la mano del reconocido diseñador Mexicano Andrés Lhima, quien conoció a Álava en Nueva York en 2013 tras participar en uno de sus tours públicos.
El libro ha sido presentado en Londres en el Instituto Cervantes (en formato digital) por el escritor Alfonso Armada, Presidente de Reporteros Sin Fronteras de España; y en Madrid el mítico Café Manuela (en forma presencial) por el filósofo y comisario de arte Miguel Cereceda, quien fuera Presidente del Instituto de Arte Contemporáneo de España (IAC). Las presentaciones pueden encontrarse en el Canal de YouTube de Gema Alava con subtítulos en inglés y en castellano.
La presentación en Ciudad de México tuvo lugar en el conocido Café Frëims, epicentro cultural con cartelera de conciertos, mesas redondas y gastronomía, donde Gema Álava y Andrés Lhima mantuvieron un coloquio presencial sobre cómo es posible crear a partir de adversidades. Hablaron también sobre la colaboración que ambos artistas están desarrollando a raíz de la publicación del libro, base de la plataforma WWW.HEXAGONSGLOBAL.COM

Gema Álava visited Mexico City from June 15 to 17 for the launch of her new book in conversation with Mexican Designer Andrés Lhima, who met Álava in New York in 2013 during a public tour in a museum.
The book has been presented in London at the Cervantes Institute (digital format) by writer Alfonso Armada; and in Madrid at the mythical Café Manuela by Spanish philosopher, art critic and curator Miguel Cereceda, former President of the Contemporary Art Institute of Spain (IAC). Both presentations can be found at Gema Alava’s YouTube Channel.
This event in Mexico City was hosted by Café Frëims, current Mexican cultural epicenter, where Gema Álava and Andrés Lhima talked about how it is possible to create from adversity and encouraged younger artists to pursue their goals in challenging times. They also discussed their current collaboration which originated as a result of this book, foundation of WWW.HEXAGONSGLOBAL.COM the cultural platform founded by Álava in 2018.
