Gema Álava presented her performative lectures entitled “Inspiring Audiences” which connect the experiences of participants of her project Trust Me in Quito, Ecuador, and New York City, EEUU. Trust Me’s project was inspired by Alava’s work during a decade as a verbal descriptive guide for people who are blind or visually impaired.
